How many different ways?
Green, yellow and red stripes make six different flags. The page has six empty ones — find them all, no two the same.

Be organized: fix the first color, then change the rest.
A combinations worksheet generator, printable as a PDF. Each problem asks how many different things can be made from a few colors — flags of three stripes, towers of three blocks, ice cream cones of two scoops, outfits of a shirt and shorts — and draws exactly as many blanks as there are answers, the first one colored as an example. Each color once (six flags from three colors) or colors that can repeat (nine two-scoop cones from three flavors). A child who misses one sees an empty blank; one who repeats a flag runs out of room. Write the number of ways at the end; with an answer key in a tidy order.
