Count the squares, carry it on

The pattern rows of a pre-writing book on real graph paper: one in ink, one to trace, and the rest of the row is yours.

How it works
Ages4–7TypeCoordination

One in ink, one to trace, then on your own.

A graph paper pattern worksheet generator, printable as a PDF. A page of graph paper with rows of small motifs drawn on the lines: two slashes and a dot, three circles and a triangle, a castle wall, steps, houses, a zigzag with rings, the Greek key, hooks and flags. The first motif of each row is drawn in ink, the second in light gray to trace, and the child copies it on to the end of the row by counting squares. Big squares and simple motifs for preschool, medium, or small squares with the harder ones; a new set of rows on every sheet.
