Counting mazes that count on one square at a time

From the arrow, find the square with the next number beside you, and the next, all the way to the star. Some squares hold the next number but lead nowhere, so a child has to check which one keeps going.

How it works
Ages3–7TypeMath

Count on, one square at a time.

A counting maze generator, printable as a PDF. Start from 1, start in the tens, or count past a hundred, and generate. From each square, exactly one neighboring square continues the count all the way to the star; others hold the right number and stop. The hardest sheets always cross a hundred — 98, 99, 100, 101 — because that is the place children who count well still go wrong.

Count

Past 100 always crosses a hundred — the place counting actually goes wrong.
