A grid of numbers with no walls. The way through is every multiple of the table you chose, and the squares around it are one or two off — so the only way across is to know the facts.

A multiplication maze generator, printable as a PDF. Pick a times table from 2 to 12 and a grid size, and generate. There is exactly one route of multiples from the arrow to the star, with dead-end runs of multiples branching off it so a child has to choose rather than just follow. The numbers that are not in the table are never random: each one sits one or two away from a real multiple, so a sheet of sevens cannot be solved by picking out the medium-sized numbers.
