Arms up is a check mark

Look at the pose, find it in the key, draw its sign — thirty-two times. It is the coding task from attention tests, and the hard part is the poses that differ by a single arm.

Match the pose, then copy its sign.

A symbol coding worksheet generator, printable as a PDF. A key at the top pairs stick-figure poses with signs — a check, a circle, a star — and four rows of eight figures below each have an empty box for the sign that goes with their pose. Pick how many poses the key has: three that look nothing alike, five, or seven that include poses a single arm or leg apart. Every pose in the key comes up about as often as the others and never three times in a row, the key is dealt again on every sheet, and the answer key draws every sign in.

A Stick Figure Code sheet
1

Look

At the figure: arms, legs, which way.

2

Find

The same pose in the key at the top.

3

Draw

Its sign in the empty box, then on to the next figure.

Poses in the key

With more poses in the key, some differ by a single arm or leg — that is where the looking gets careful.
