Five times as many is not five more
"Maya has 3 times as many stickers" and "Maya has 3 more stickers" sound almost the same, and a child who reads one as the other gets every word problem after it wrong. This sheet puts the two side by side until the difference is automatic.

Read the words, then multiply or add.
A times-as-many worksheet generator, printable as a PDF. Each table has a row of numbers and two rows under it — "5 times as many" and "5 more than" — for the child to fill in, multiplying for one and adding for the other. Which row comes first changes from table to table, so the answer depends on reading the words. Pick factors 2 to 5 or 2 to 9; each table on a page has its own. A short note shows one of each, and can be switched off. New numbers every time, with an answer key.
